COURSE GUIDE
If you have never driven or you plan to take the licence test soon, choose the 20-day Complete course. If you can already start, steer and stop a car and want to sharpen your skills, the 10-day Basic course is usually enough.

If the answer is no, lean towards the Complete course. Ten days can teach the basics, but first-time drivers need repetition in traffic before the skills become automatic.
If junctions, horns and close vehicles make you tense, give yourself more time. Confidence grows gradually, and the extra ten days are often where it settles.
Test preparation and licence guidance are included in the Complete course only. If the test is close, that is a strong reason to choose 20 days.
Clutch control on slopes takes practice. Someone learning manual from scratch usually benefits from the longer course; someone switching to automatic may manage well in ten days.
These are general suggestions. Your instructor will tell you honestly how you are progressing.
| Your situation | Suggested course | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Never driven before | Complete, 20 days | Time to build skill and confidence |
| Drove a little with family | Basic, 10 days | Fix habits and add structure |
| Licence holder, out of practice | Basic, 10 days | Rebuild confidence quickly |
| Nervous of traffic | Complete, 20 days | Gentler pace, more road time |
| Test coming up | Complete, 20 days | Includes test preparation |
| Switching manual to automatic | Basic, 10 days | Core skills already in place |
It is not a disaster either way. If you start the Basic course and realise you want more time, tell your instructor before the course ends and message us about continuing. If you book the Complete course and progress quickly, the extra days are spent on longer routes, harder slopes and test practice, which still makes you a safer driver.
The bigger risk is stopping too early. Many people feel fine on quiet roads and then freeze at their first busy junction alone. Be honest about how you feel when your instructor asks.
Women who want a calm pace with a female instructor often pick the Complete course so nothing feels rushed. Students fitting lessons around college, and professionals with limited free time, sometimes start with the Basic course and add practice later. Whatever your routine, pick and drop may help if it is available in your area.
Both courses come in manual or automatic, with flexible timings. The main difference is time on the road and test preparation.
